Hi, I'm Yulia. I'm an illustrator based in the UK and I love to illustrate for children's books.
You'll often find me with a cup of tea, drawing from my home in the beautiful countryside of West Sussex, where I am often interrupted and entertained by my husband, two children and a dog called Teddy (George the tortoise knows better than to interrupt). The household has accumulated a vast number of children's books over the years and an even greater number of toys that often make cameo appearances in my work.
Like most children, I loved watching cartoons, but I was also fascinated by them. They excited a passion for illustration at an early age, which never left me. This love of creative expression finally pulled me away from a long intermission (during which I had a successful career as a scientist), and into the privileged position of bringing life to stories and smiles to children.
